Happy 7th Birthday Buzzly!!

 Buzzly officially celebrated his 7th Birthday Friday January 23rd.  Buzzly Fire Safety's Executive Director Janylle Koren was so proud of her favorite Fire Safety Bumble Bee!  "Buzzly is the age of many of the 20 children who are severely injured or die each day in Fire Emergencies in the United States," stated Koren. She went on further to say, "Buzzly is as precious to me as one of my children.  I can't imagine the sorrow and loss of losing a child in a fire.  It is for that reason that all of us at Buzzly Fire Safety do what we do to educate everyone about the importance of Fire Safety."

TEN Fire Safety Rule Reminders

Buzzly says you can never be too safe, and you can always use a fire safety reminder.  Here are Buzzly's favorite fire safety rules.........

 

1.  Stay away from anything that can burn you, like lighters, matches and candles.

2.  Know 2 ways out of Every Room no matter where you are.

3. Help grown-ups check smoke detectors Every Month.

4. In case of a fire, GET OUT fast and STAY OUT.

5.  Know the sound of the smoke detectors in your home.

6. If your clothes catch on fire, Cover your face with your hands as you STOP, DROP and ROLL.

7. Make and Practice a family fire escape plan.

8. Never be afraid of or hide from fire-fighters in their fire-fighting gear (sometimes they look big and sound funny through their mask, but they are there to help you)!

9. Crawl low under smoke (Get Low and GO!).

10. Learn how and when to phone the fire department in a fire emergency (911)
