Just wanted to shout to this special mommy, who worked so hard to find the perfect date, perfect place, perfect clothes and yet, even without any of those things...her family would have been perfection. I am so glad her daughter will have this shot to look back on one day.

we work hard for our baby.
(sung to the tune of "We work for the money"). Those having tried to entertain a one year old, keep yourself looking decent, all the while looking natural and relaxed for the camera, understand that it's a nearly impossible task. This family did it well. I cracked up when I saw this shot. I have no doubt mommy had just been doing a "jig" and ran into the frame just in time for baby boy for stick out his tongue. Still, the reality of the shot makes it that much cuter.
And if a little dancing, flute playing, singing and tickling gets an innocent shot like this...
...if was all worth it.

I love when I meet families that take my direction and run with it. Unforced, playful interactions make my job so easy and result in real images like this.
