I've been blogging for a few years now and a few months on "nickpalmbyblog.com." I enjoy reading other people's blogs and have been doing this for much longer than I've even had a blog; however, I find a problem and that is "how can I consume all this great content without having to waste time going and checking out people's pages?"
When email subscriptions got big I started signing up on peoples blogs. I have one on my blog at the top right of all the pages near the rss feeds. I really enjoy waking up early each morning and being able to flip through 10-20 emails from blogs and get the content I want and delete them. Saving time and keeping each day being feed from sources I'm familiar with and enjoy.
So when I come across a great blog and don't see an email subscription through feedburner or feedblitz I get turned off and fusturated and usually don't return to their site again even if the content is great. I just simply don't have the time to surf and dork around on people's blogs. If you have a blog there are plently of people who love this feature, so use it, and please your readers!
Nick:
With FeedBlitz you can track any blog by email, regardless of whether or not they are using an email service. You can just enter the blog or RSS address in the field at the foot of the Feedblitz home page. We also have add ins for IE, FireFox and the Google Toolbar to make the process even simpler - see http://www.feedblitz.com/downloads.asp
Thanks for the mention!
